Smita Jain
(B.1974) The true meaning of Smita is 'one who always smiles'. The artist's love for nature, positivity, freedom of expression, and happiness is evident in all her paintings. She is a dreamer and a believer in the purest form of creativity. As a child, she used to see her grandfather paint and dreamed of becoming an artist herself. A small town girl from Bihar, she loves art in all forms and her paintings reflect her love through an array of, mostly acrylic, colours and various textures. She draws much motivation from trees, which give her a feeling of liberation. She obtained her 3-year Diploma in Textile Designing from South Delhi Polytechnic and then went on to learn Fine Arts from a private teacher. She adds a new dimension to Abstract Art with a fresh and raw approach and brings it to life. Her paintings are not to be overlooked, just like her name, they bring an everlasting smile to everyone's face.
